Corey Martinez grew up in Miami, Florida where his passion for filmmaking began by documenting storms. He continued on to make short films with his friends and family. Wanting first to be a marine biologist, nature always played an important role in his style..  Corey moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University's digital film program where he attained a BA degree.
